Winter Ski Trails

cards

Tierra Learning Center’s new Nordic and Skate Ski Track is now open. We are excited to be grooming for both skate and classic skiing  as well as offering a trail for snowshoeing. We are opening the trails to use by our larger community and are asking people to purchase a season pass online here. The cost is $100 for the season. This is our inaugural year with a snowmobile and TiddTech groomer. We are still working to learn the equipment and how to fit grooming into our operational schedule. Grooming is likely to be a bit delayed on the big snow days - we will work to get weekends regularly scheduled. That’s our big disclaimer – please read below for some more specifics on what we hope to offer. We look forward to creating a track with a quiet and atmospheric setting for some regular winter recreation. Tierra would love to see you out here on our trails!

Field Loop (Yellow) – This is a relatively flat 1 mile loop with a wide skate lane and set classic tracks. Views from the valley offer a new look at Tierra. No dogs or walking allowed on these groomed tracks please.

Bridge Trail (Orange) – This trail is packed with snowmobile and open to snowshoeing and walking and classic skiing. It is relatively flat but users should expect some spots that require some maneuvering. There is a forested section, a short section on a plowed road and the route finishes alongside a plowed road – be prepared for patches of variable conditions. Dogs are allowed on this trail. Please keep under control and please pick up waste.

Notes to first year operations:

We will aim to groom 5 times per week in the mornings between 7 and 9 am.

Parking is available to guests at the west end of the solar panel array. Both trails should be accessed from this point. There are currently no restroom facilities provided.
